Like most games, Clash Royale is a game where you have to think thing through, to know what card to play at what time, and most important of all, where and to place your troops. It does not mean that if your deck is filled with legendary and epic cards it is immediately a strong strategy and a winner. All that is important when playing Clash Royae is the timing and the strategy you have to build once you are on that battlefield.
First of all, the opponent you are playing against is not there by chance, but he is playing because he is a Clash Royale fan, just like you, meaning that he will bring his A game in order to defend his towers. So, when you are attacking, the rule of thumb is to always place a card with high hit points behind a crowded troop, so it has bigger chances to arrive at the opponent’s tower and destroy it. Usually, if you are playing the Giant, Pekka or the Baby Dragon, you should always cover them with some other card in front of them.
Another strategy is to get a little damage if you want to do a bigger damage to the opponent’s tower. Let’s say, the opponent dropped a Prince and Skeletons. Instead of fighting those, if you have a Prince or some other fast card, for example Hog Rider, you can drop it on the other side, and that way, the opponent will be in much more difficult situation than you are, because he will not have enough Elixir to drop a card that will defend from the Prince, and you can drop something out in defense. That way, the opponent will get more damage on the tower he did not have enough elixir to defend.
If you are one of those players who has buildings in the deck, this is also a good strategy to defend your towers. You can place a building in front of the Tower, so the opponent’s cards will be distracted by it and you will have time to defend your tower.
There are many more strategies to win a battle in Clash Royale, you just need to be here at the right time with balanced elixir.
