So these are the new things that have been brought into the game. Let’s talk about these in detail:
New Arena: Electro Valley
The Electro Valley was teased by the developers before the update by using an Asian language that spelled different but pronounced it correctly. The Area is set at 3400 trophies, replacing the legendary arena (Now Arena 12) as Arena 11. The initial feedback has been pretty positive with some users heavily praising the developers for their innovative idea in designing this Arena. There have also been some negative reviews, but looking at the Arena, I really believe that Supercell has done a good job. The Electro Valley unlocks “Zappies” another new card released by supercell ( Discussed later in this article), and yield 22 gold per win 20 times per day.
Zappies: This card spawn a pack of miniature machines. It is a Rare card unlocked in Arena 11, and costs 4 elixir. It is similar to 1 elixir skeletons but the only difference is that it spawns little teslas on wheels , 3 of them to be precise, which have the ability to damage as well as stun the enemy, although they are pretty fragile and low hitting troops. However, it is a great concept introduced by the developers , and I strongly believe that with a little thinking , this card can really fit into the Meta, as it is basically a miniature combination of the electro wizard and sparky, don’t you think so?
The Hunter: The Hunter is an epic card also costing 4 elixir, which unlocks at the Jungle Arena. He deals big damage up close, but not so much at range. He is not very accurate though, which may indicate that he might deal some damage to nearby targets. The card statistics show that she deals damage in 10 shots, which indicates that he is some kind of a bombardier, as he also deals ranged damage. I think it is an even more interesting troop than the Zappies, and believe that It will affect the game majorly, as it deals damage to ground and air targets as well. Supercell have really been doing some thinking down at their card designing team.
Lightning Chest: This chest is similar to the Giant chest, but the only difference is that you get a lesser number of cards and that the chest gives the buyers 5 strikes to replace their cards if they are not satisfied with them. You get 3 rarity of cards , all shown at once, which can be replaced upto 5 times in any order. I think this is another innovative idea , giving players an option to replace their cards and help them collect and upgrade only the ones that they want to upgrade. They cost 250 gems
Fortune Chest: Just as the name suggests, this chest will give you a glimpse of what the chest has to offer. The fortune cards refresh daily, and contain at least one of the cards shown on the preview. What’s more, 1 in 10 Chests contain a legendary! Not a bad deal if you are someone who likes to gamble. They cost 750 Gems and contain 250 cards, 8 of which are Epic.
Legendary King’s Chest: This is the Ultimate Chest for the players who love chest opening. It contains a modest 350 cards, 70 of which are rare, 23 epic and a guaranteed legendary! Moreover, it is like a draft chest where you can select your cards, including the legendary. Even though it costs a whopping 2500 gems, it is a very good value chest in my opinion.
Supercell has also given some information into what we the players can expect this month , rounding off what has been a massive year for the community as a whole. Special events like gold run, gem rush, and Special challenges will be back. Moreover, some Boosts will also be given, and I am expecting it to be some kind of a gold boost or maybe chest timer boost. Who knows, only time will tell.
Other Improvements: Nothing Major.
My thoughts on this update: I think Supercell is very serious about taking this game strongly into 2018, seeing the recent string of updates and balance changes. The content added to the game of late has been very innovative and exciting, which has led to a huge boost in revenues and player engagement ratio. This update has been a huge hit as well, and with the right ideology going forward, Supercell can really make this game last . As the 2 year anniversary approaches in the coming weeks, The players can be sure that the developers are trying their best to make it a memorable one. Cheers.
